1. Purpose of the Community
The Waymorrow Community exists to help people navigate ideas, challenges,
projects, and meaningful work through respectful discussion, shared
experience, human judgment, and responsible use of technology.
Participation should leave people, conversations, and systems better
than they were found. Leadership within the Community is a
responsibility to serve rather than a license to control others.
2. Participation Requirements
Visitors may read publicly available discussions without creating an
account. Posting, replying, reporting content, and other interactive
features require:
- A verified Waymorrow Account.
- An active Fellow Wayfinder profile.
- Acceptance of all current required policies.
- Compliance with account and participation restrictions.
Guest posting, anonymous posting, and private direct messaging are not
included in the initial Community release.
3. Be Respectful and Constructive
Members may disagree, challenge ideas, and ask difficult questions.
They must do so without attacking, humiliating, threatening, or
dehumanizing another person.
Members should:
- Address ideas and conduct rather than insulting individuals.
- Assume good faith when the available evidence supports it.
- Ask for clarification before escalating a misunderstanding.
- Use language appropriate for a professional public community.
- Correct mistakes openly when reliable evidence shows an error.
4. Harassment and Abuse Are Prohibited
The following conduct is prohibited:
- Threats of violence or encouragement of physical harm.
- Targeted harassment, stalking, intimidation, or repeated abuse.
- Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual attention.
- Hateful or degrading attacks directed at protected characteristics.
- Coordinated attempts to overwhelm, silence, or drive out a member.
- Publishing another person’s private information without permission.
5. Protect Privacy and Personal Information
Do not publish private addresses, private phone numbers, financial
information, authentication credentials, private email addresses,
sensitive identification numbers, confidential records, or other
personal information without lawful authority and clear permission.
Members are responsible for considering whether screenshots,
documents, logs, or copied conversations contain private information
before posting them.
6. Authentic Identity and Impersonation
Members may use a public handle and display name, but they may not
impersonate another person, organization, employee, moderator,
administrator, or public authority.
Members may not falsely claim that they represent Wayfinder Systems,
Waymorrow, or another organization.
7. Truth, Evidence, and AI-Generated Content
Members should distinguish personal opinion, direct observation,
verified evidence, inference, and AI-generated material.
AI-generated content may be shared, but members may not knowingly
present unverified AI output as established fact, fabricated evidence,
official authority, or a completed human review.
When accuracy materially affects another person’s safety, finances,
legal rights, employment, health, or important decisions, members
should identify uncertainty and encourage appropriate professional or
independent verification.
8. Illegal, Dangerous, and Exploitative Content
Members may not use the Community to:
- Plan, encourage, or facilitate unlawful activity.
- Distribute malware, stolen credentials, or unauthorized access tools.
- Exploit, endanger, or sexually abuse children.
- Promote human trafficking, coercion, or non-consensual exploitation.
- Make credible threats or provide targeted instructions for violence.
- Sell or distribute stolen, fraudulent, or unlawfully obtained material.
Content may be preserved or disclosed when reasonably necessary to
protect people, preserve evidence, or comply with applicable law.
9. Self-Harm and Immediate Danger
Content expressing distress should be treated with care and humanity.
Members must not encourage, celebrate, pressure, or instruct another
person to harm themselves.
The Community is not an emergency-response service. A person facing
immediate danger should contact local emergency services or an
appropriate crisis resource.
10. Spam, Fraud, and Manipulation
The following are prohibited:
- Repetitive, irrelevant, or automated promotional posting.
- Fraudulent offers, phishing, impersonation, or deceptive fundraising.
- Artificial engagement, vote manipulation, or coordinated brigading.
- Misleading links, concealed destinations, or malicious downloads.
- Using multiple accounts to evade limits or moderation actions.
11. Intellectual Property and Attribution
Members should submit only content they created, are authorized to
share, or may lawfully quote or reference.
Give appropriate attribution when relying on another person’s work.
Do not reproduce substantial copyrighted material merely because it is
available online.
12. Topic Quality and Community Organization
Members should:
- Use clear and relevant topic titles.
- Post in the most appropriate available category.
- Search for an existing discussion before creating a duplicate.
- Provide enough context for others to understand the question.
- Avoid repeatedly derailing topics into unrelated disputes.
Moderators may move, combine, rename, lock, archive, or otherwise
organize discussions to preserve clarity and usefulness.
13. Reporting Content
Members should report content when they reasonably believe it violates
these Guidelines, threatens safety, exposes private information, or
requires moderator review.
Reports should be made in good faith. Knowingly false, retaliatory, or
repetitive reports may themselves result in moderation action.
Reporting content does not guarantee removal. Reports are evidence
submitted for authorized human review.
14. Moderators and Administrators
Fellow Wayfinder is the default member role. Moderator and
Administrator roles are granted only through an authorized application,
review, and approval process.
Moderators and Administrators must:
- Apply policies consistently and in good faith.
- Separate personal disagreement from policy violations.
- Record material actions and reasons through the approved process.
- Protect confidential report and account information.
- Escalate conflicts of interest or matters beyond their authority.
- Never assign themselves authority outside the approved system.
15. Moderation Actions
Depending on the available evidence, severity, context, history, and
risk, authorized moderation actions may include:
- Requesting clarification or correction.
- Issuing a warning.
- Editing a title or moving a topic for organization.
- Hiding or removing content.
- Locking or archiving a discussion.
- Temporarily restricting participation.
- Suspending or deactivating an account.
- Preserving evidence or escalating the matter for review.
Removal of content does not necessarily mean the underlying record is
immediately or permanently erased. Records may be retained for
governance, security, dispute resolution, or legal requirements.
16. Appeals and Corrections
A member may request review of a material moderation decision through
the authorized support or feedback process once that process is
operational.
An appeal should identify the action, explain the relevant facts, and
provide any evidence the member believes was missed or misunderstood.
An appeal is a request for review, not permission to evade or ignore
the original action while review is pending.
17. Changes to These Guidelines
Material changes will be issued as a new policy version. When required,
members must review and accept the new current version before
continuing to use governed interactive features.
18. Contact and Policy Feedback
Questions, concerns, and policy feedback may be submitted through the
Waymorrow feedback page.
